Delta's 1st Agility Handling Class
« on: July 29, 2013, 04:48:13 PM »
Last week we finished our first 4-week Agility handling class and someone on FB reminded me that I needed to share here  ;)

So far I am really impressed with Delta - she has a lot of handler focus (not surprising given all our Obedience work) and she loves the game. I still remember a little bit of handling from my work with Dash years ago, so I am a little ahead of my classmates but have leagues to go before we are competition ready. I have to work on distance handling and her obstacle focus because she's fast and having to be so close to me slows her down.

Here is week 3 - a "box" sequence that had us winding in and out. It felt so awkward having to be so precise (because she's so sensitive) so I was pleasantly surprised when I watched the video. I also get a kick out of her "sproing" jump from a stand-still.

And here is week 4 - a nice sequence with two front crosses, one of which I almost forgot  ;) This was our second run through, the first time I set myself pointing at the tunnel and she took that after the first two jumps instead of turning to the third jump.

Dash 07/06
