Sam is doing well on her steroid therapy. Her knee is feeling much better, but I do think we're seeing a bit of a change in her personality as she just doesn't have her usual spunk about her. This is probably a good thing, since that spunk is what seems to keep her from healing properly when she should be resting!!! boing

She has had two accidents to this point, and we are learning to take her out every two hours or so whether she says she needs to or not. yes I am watching her skin closely for any signs that could point to mange, and I'm not seeing anything like that at this point. I am hopeful that her early mange was of the variety that occurs in response to a trauma to the immune system and not some underlying immune system defect.

This is day four, so we still have a long way to go - about five more days at her current dose and nearly two weeks after that on an every-other-day dosing schedule. But so far I am pleased with her progress, and feel pretty confident that she will be back to her happy and playful self very soon. Grin

She's still doing great, everybody! Today I gave her back one of her toys, and she had a wonderful time playing with it for the first time in weeks! boing Looks like she's not feeling sore from it either, so that's a great sign! thumbsup
