Mmmmm Yummy, lol. Actually, this is interesting to see. Would like to see other pics too (edumacation and all).

Just curious, what herbs do you add in?

And do they actually eat it right from the bowl or pick it up and try to drag it everywhere else?

Strum is on a Chinese medicine (herb) to help "balance" him. LONG story but he won't eat it unless it's mixed in something. The smaller pieces they eat over the bowl. The necks are 2 bites and they are gone. Bigger pieces they take out. They eat on a towel and know they have to eat on their spot. I change the towel out every 3 days or so. Warmer weather they eat outside.

That's awesome sharing the picture!

My dogs eat ground meat now so it isn't as fun to watch as the whole pieces.

Good thread idea, had been thinking of starting something similar myself.

My dogs already had beef brisket today so too late for pics but I'll definitely contribute some pics and videos of them and the various things they eat.

Chicken leg quarters here today.  I put what I'm going to feed them in any convenient bowl or plate to carry outside where I feed them.  The larger one on the right is Koda's because he needs quite a bit more food than Artax.

Here's a video of them (mostly Koda) eating their leg quarters:

I'm having pork chops for dinner, will remove the bones and some meat from them for the dogs and also slip Koda another piece of chicken, or maybe a whole pork chop, later when Artax is in the bedroom asleep.  They also each got one chicken egg for being good, not chasing chickens or barking or anything, while I was tending to the chickens and gathering the eggs.

Today was tripe day here.  I buy this in three pound bags of tripe chunks.  Here is one bag emptied onto my deck.

I haven't found any animal product yet that Koda doesn't love, but Artax hates tripe and most other offal, will only eat it at all because he knows it's that or nothing and he's been on a diet for months so he's always hungry, still needs to lose another pesky few pounds.  So Koda ate at least two of the three pounds right away, while Artax ate one small piece, then laid down beside the other I gave him, guarding it from Koda, for a few hours.   Roll Eyes  He finally went into the bedroom to sleep now and I don't know whether he eventually ate it or abandoned it and then Koda ate it.  I did also give Artax a small chicken thigh this morning and Koda had a large chicken leg quarter for breakfast.

I know there are more raw feeders around here.  Where are your pics?!?   Smiley

Pork shoulder is the most common pork my dogs eat, and they both love it.  Here is what it looks like in the package, usually around $1.50/pound here but can be found on sale for around $1.00/pound.

Here it is out of the package, showing the skin left on. thumbsup The more whole the better.

To start with these, my dogs get chunks of meat, fat and skin cut off with a sharp knife.

Until there is just a meaty shoulder bone left.  I usually do this with one, then freeze the bone while they eat the meat off a second pork shoulder so then there is a meaty bone left for each of them.

These bones are something only to be fed outdoors when the weather is comfortable because obviously they take lots of chewing.  They seem to really enjoy that chew time.  Artax is much better at demolishing these, don't know whether Koda will develop stronger jaws or get more into them eventually.  Koda chews on them for about half an hour and then when there is still quite a bit of edible bone for a determined enough dog, he hides his, digging a little and covering it with dirt and leaves in a more secluded part of our yard.  He started this as a puppy and is quite good at keeping stuff from Artax, and he does return to chew on it more later.  He does the same thing if I feed him more meat than he wants to eat at the time.  Artax chews on his nonstop for about an hour until it looks something like this:

Which he'll still guard from Koda usually for another couple of hours or so though he won't chew on it much more past this point.  It seems to give him a good workout because he pants and seems a bit tired afterwards.  Eventually Koda gets what he leaves and stashes it somewhere too.  Whoever lives here after I move is going to be surprised and maybe creeped out by all the bones scattered about the property.  laugh4
