Not sure - both mine had nice coats prior to using Dogzymes and it's been something like 6 months since I started using it. I think Xena might have less gas.
I got the 2lb and it's my first canister. I'm nearly out and plan on getting more this coming Saturday. The little scoop you use is only like 1/4 tsp size.

Have used Dogzymes as well and they seem to work pretty good. I STILL have to add acidophyis to Strummer's food when using Dogzymes.
I ran out recently and used Prozymes. They seem to do the trick. My holistic vet rec'd that brand. He HAS to have probiotics added to his food or his belly get upset.
I have also tried slippery elm in the past when Strum had an upset belly.

Yep. The various supplements mentioned include a variety of digestive enzymes versus just giving acidophilus. For example, DogZymes includes the following:
Quote
(Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium thermophilum, Bifidobacterium longum, Enterococcus faecium, and Bacillus subtilis)

Okay i picked up a 2lb tub of digestive enzymes at the show. i have a few questions:
Did you gradually mix it into their food? do you give it at both meals?
I have been giving 1/4 tsp, but spitting it up between two meals.

Rubi gets 1 scoop at each meal. I think the scoop is 1/4 tsp, IIRC, and she gets a 1/2 tsp total throughout the day. I was doing it all at one meal, but it didn't make sense to me and I read somewhere that it's best to divide it up between meals.

ahh okay. ill do that. the lady at Natures Farmacy said to do it once a day, but the tub said every meal.
i also picked up a bottle of their Easy Ear dops, smells good and works great.

I find it is best to divide them up with both meals, and whenever I am starting it with a new dog I always gradually work up to the right does the the probiotics otherwise you could end up with loose stool.
My favorite digestive aid is Digest All Plus by Wholistic Pet:

Hope this helps
