When someone says a dog has good pigment, do they mean like no pink around mouth or nose etc??  More thats its all fillled in??

Depends. They could be referring to coat pigmentation, mask pigmentation, eye pigmentation, etc, etc.

I'd take an over all comment about a dog having good pigmentation as referring to overall coat pigmentation. Deep rich reds or chocolate colors in fawns and brindles are preferred over the washed out yellow, or even worse, cream colors.

I agree, but I'd include a nice deep black mask in that general "good pigment" statement, as well.  :)
