Why do I look at these things?
« on: March 23, 2007, 12:28:37 AM »
I started off on the Boxer Art Page, then I clicked the link to the FL Boxer rescue and scrolled the listings of all the babies they have to offer. It breaks my heart. I know I shouldnt look at those things, I cant help it. Their sweet little faces, I dont know how anyone could just hand em over and walk away.

It's so hard to stay away from them! Their stories are sweet and heartbreaking.

I check out our local rescue too.  It is difficult not to.  My best days are when they have none available!

It is so sad to see. I have no idea how anyone can just get rid of their pup just like that or abuse them i any way. Theres some sick people out there.

I check our Dane rescue all the time. Every single time I ask myself why I do it...

I found a cure for it - volunteer with a boxer rescue. You'll still feel for them, but you'll know you're doing something to help. I don't feel bad for the ones in the rescues anymore - I know they are being helped. I don't look at the shelter pics and emergency cases because I know I can't help them right now and I don't have time to feel sorry for them. I'll get back into volunteering when I have more time to devote to it again, but for now I've got to focus on getting my life in order.

I hate that there are so many boxers in rescues. It's so sad.
