# for majors
« on: September 01, 2007, 12:16:34 PM »
Is there another way to score the numbers needed for a major?  Does anyone else find it rediculous that such a high number is needed for a major in our breed?

CAN something else be done?

You can go to North Dakota or Alaska. ;)  The Golden people tried for a while to get their point schedule changed, but I don't think anything ever came of it.

The only answer, really, is for fewer Boxers to be shown in an area.

Here's the 2007 point schedule for anyone curious. http://www.akc.org/events/conformation/point_schedule.cfm

It can be so hard to get majors around here. I know whenever the Montana shows come around, people from all around the western states go there because it is so easy to get 5 point majors there
