Intraabdominal Cryptorchid Surgery
« on: June 29, 2015, 06:49:27 PM »
Duke recently had his testicles removed by Intraabdominal Cryptochrid surgery as he was 17 months old and his testicles had not dropped.

He's already ripped some of his stitches and now has staples in (the surgery was done 5 days ago).  He will not stay still!! Does anyone have any advice on how to keep him somewhat calm?  I know its next to an impossible task but advice will be helpful.

When George got fixed he ripped his incision open. They are so hard to keep still! I hope he's on the mend by now.

I know that valerian root can be used short term as a light sedative for dogs. I am not sure on the accurate dosage though. You just want to be sure that it doesn't have any extra additives.
