and neither did I!
Dash is scheduled to get neutered tomorrow provided that all his blood results including his thyroid, come back normal this afternoon. It isn't a decision we came to lightly and I am still worried about how he'll do, but it seems like the time is right.
I drop him off at 7:50am and they will talk to me about a pickup time when I get there. Along with the neuter, he is beginning to have some hyperplasia, so the vet will remove any epulis she comes across. We aren't going for the full gum cutting yet since we aren't sure how he'll do with being put under. The vet is using a sedative that allows a high level of control so they can pull him out quickly if there is a problem and she is reducing the medication protocols to a minimum (like most vets, they use 2-3 meds for each step in the process - he'll be cut down to 1 wherever possible).
One "funny" thing... she asked me if I wanted his scrotum sack reduced/removed because it is "rather well developed"

She said it counts as another surgery and makes recovery a little more difficult, so I am pretty sure we'll skip it. We'll just have to get used to a little sad sack swinging in the wind.
