We did not get home until 7 last night with Remy . They did not want him to leave until he was fully awake - which I can understand . He was still very wobbly when we got home , poor boy .

The spot where they took the bump off looks better than what I had thought it would . They said to watch for infection more closely than normal because they can not stitch it .

So he has some pain meds , his antibiotics and pred to finish up .

Hopefully we will have the results back quickly .  :fingerscrossed:

The spot is bothering him .  :'(

I decided not to give him his pain meds yesterday to see how he would do . A little while later I saw him shaking so I gave him the meds , he was fine a bit later .

He has been shaking his head a lot and tipping his head to that side a bit . There is a bit of clear drainage so I am constantly wiping his ear to be sure none is draining in to the ear .

The wound looks like it is trying to scab up around the edges, so I guess that is good but it still raw in the middle.
It also looks either swollen or there is something going on along the sides of where the bump was .

Hanna is convinced that the bump is already trying to grow back along the edge of where they removed the large one .

Keeping a brave face for the kids has been hard and I will admit I broke down and was crying this afternoon .

Oh man! That breaks my heart. :( Poor Remy! I sure hope that he gets some relief and it stops bothering him soon. Poor poor guy. Any idea when you'll hear back from the biopsy?

They said about a week . I did call today just because I had to see if it back already .

I hate waiting for results. Makes me a mess. I always imagine the worst possible outcome. The longer it take the worse I am. Have my fingers crossed that it turns out to be nothing. Try putting a little Laticane on it if you feel it is itchy. Might keep him from shaking his head so much.
