eggs
« on: May 13, 2007, 12:12:34 PM »
I give an occasional egg to shells. My question is I have read the shell is good for them, how do you go about getting them to eat it? I usualy have to break it to get her to eat the egg but she will not eat the shell. Next time I will just smash it into her pre made but I have read of people giving whole eggs to there pups and they eat them.

I've ground them in a little elec coffee grinder.  it takes seconds.  I've read it takes very little shell to provide the nutrients, so I wouldn't use the entire shell.

I threw some whole eggs in my blender and most of the shells ground up pretty small/fine.
My guys got some baby back ribs tonight.  I bought a package from the meat market that's been giving me bones.  When I opened them, I found out there were TWO slabs of ribs!  WAY more than Dave & I can eat in a couple of meals so the pups all got a pair of baby back, baby back ribs!  They were HAPPY campers!

i used to give them raw, but I cook them now.  better safe than sorry I think.  I scramble them and add a little parsley for the stinkies  ;)

if they're good, I add a little white cheddar cheese.
