Unzippered the dog bed
« on: December 09, 2011, 08:43:48 AM »
Got the girls a huge (40"x50") dog bed on black friday. This morning I went to let them out of their room and Chloe had unzipped the whole 40" side. Then chewed on until she unzippered the white liner bag inside too to get some stuffing out of it.

Why???? And is she talented or what? LOL

Mic has never been a bed chewer. Does not unstuff his toys either. Zoey on the other hand will unstuff everything she can get her mouth on and suck thing into her crate! Some times they are to smart for their own good.

None of my are hard core chewers but Romy was more of an 'unstuffer' than any of the others.  I bought a Krypton bed for her and Rudy a couple of years ago and that thing is wearing like iron!  No one has chewed it and the cover is still very stain and moisture repellant.  It's been washed a few times and holds it's shape pretty good too.  It was expensive but I bought it on Amazon and felt like I got a decent deal since I wasn't picky about the color of the cover.  You might try one.

Due to Macie's allergies & yeast issues their beds have to be machine washable. I wash them weekly. So removable covers are a must. I was just surprised when the whole zipper 40" long was open and then the little zipper inside that. Sometimes you wonder what gets into their minds.
