teaching agility classes
« on: February 20, 2011, 10:36:58 PM »
Starting March 1st I'm going to teach agility classes. I'm pretty excited it should be a total blast! I'm teaching intro 1 and intro 2. My friend who owns and runs a training facility asked me if I would be into it and thought it would be a lot of fun. Classes are Tues 7-9:30 (2 classes) and then we take our own class Wed nights. I am going to be pretty busy!

A little update on the class I'm teaching...

Its going well and my class is awesome. Maybe because there is a brindle female boxer named Freya! COOL. She' so tiny and wiggly. She's about 7-8 months old and a soo cute.
They are all dong great and picking up fast. They learned a straight jump, tire jump, table and channel (wide) weaves and even the baby teeter. Seriously, they are ALL very good and are a lot of fun. It's cool to see them learn and grow and even cooler to see the connection the owners are developing with their dogs!

That's awesome Jill!! I knew you'd be great at it! And how cool there's a lil Freya, I bet she's a doll. Sounds like you've got a great buncha students and all learning so quick! How many weeks are you into it? How many nights are you teaching?

I'm actually assisting in the Rally Novice class. Last night was our first class - felt kinda weird giving pointers to people I know have been in the club longer than I have, lol. Next week, I'm on my own as our trainer isn't going to make it to class as her daugher is having a bridal shower. :wreck: Hope I dont undo all they learned this week! We have a tough agenda for next week, lol. No boxers tho.
