Peeing on toys
« on: April 07, 2010, 07:45:37 AM »
George peed on one of his toys last night. Is this normal for a male dog? Anything I can do to stop it from happening again?

Beas never did that...so I don't think it was "normal" however...George is a puppy...maybe he couldn't hold it anymore?

He had just peed outside not even 5 minutes before he did it. He just stood over the toy and peed on it...little brat.  ::)

How did you react when he did it?  Did you tell him no?  Put him outside?  Did you pick up the toy?  I think I would do all the above.  I doubt he is old enough to be 'marking'

:roflol: hes telling Abby they are his toys!

When lexi was a puppy and would pee in the house or crate, she would put her toy over the pee like she was trying to hit it.

Rudy has done that too.  But only outside on toys that get left outside from time to time.  I figured there was a 'foreign' smell on it he wanted to cover up.  He did it when Lucy was here and they were playing with something together.  Didn't stop either one of them from continuing their play either! :barf:

We think Tyson peed on one of his toys on Monday.  It was hard to tell whether he had an accident while we were cooking dinner and then dropped his toy in it or whether he peed on the toy....also not sure the kitty wasn't trying to sabotage him.   :wall:  We have a phantom pee'r I'm sure...Sometimes Tyson can be in our sight the whole afternoon but we still find a pee spot?  Think it's the cat's way of trying to get him in trouble.   :devilish:

He is making sure the girls know that the toy is his. Just wait till he is a little older and he tries to pee on one of the girls! Mic does this all the time to his girlfriend.
