This is just sad...
« on: March 11, 2010, 10:16:44 AM »
This is the rescue my mom took our first Boxer to 10+ years ago. I remember this lady being so nice and helpful, and her house being nicely kept, Boxers were all cared for and had medical attention. My mom and I are very upset about this... :'(

Yup. My mom did when I was young. She feels awful, but she didnt do proper research before she got him. The lady found him a great forever home with other Boxers. I remember her letting me call to check on him once a week :'(

Sad...but I really can't see all those "horribly treated" pups...where are they?  I would guess she just became overwhelmed from other people's mistakes!

It sounds like well-intentioned rescuing became a hording situation. 60 dogs in a two bedroom home is overwhelming even for someone with good intentions. I think it would be a full-time job just doing potty breaks!

I agree, she probably got overwhelmed. Just a very sad situation :( .  I wonder if any of those dogs will go to other Boxer rescues. I would like to make a donation for them.

I would guess that this was the act of a spiteful mean person, not Alice, but the person that reported her.  I also question some of the information written in that article and mentioned in that clip...where are all these sickly dogs?  I would guess this is all a horrible exaggeration of facts...And if these dogs had medical problems - that may not have been her fault...these dogs were given up, they were rescues!  And as I know as a fact...many rescues come with a variety of medical problems, may look awful, may have been abused, the list goes on! It pisses me off to no end that she is the culprit...blame should be put squarely on the shoulders of the owners that surrendered these pups, not someone that is looking to place them in their forever homes!

It is sad...obviously her intentions were good and her heart in the right place, it just got to be too much...sad.
