Crate Brands
« on: February 09, 2010, 04:47:26 PM »
I am in the market for a new crate, seeing as I cannot find my next size up crate for Bella, and I am going to need more than one when Alice and Edward get their ears done...
I was on ebay looking at these type   http://cgi.ebay.com/Pet-Gear-Travel-Lite-Steel-Crate-Size-36_W0QQitemZ350314982768QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5190666d70

They look sturdy, and I really like the base, even though I don't think it would be as easy to clean.  I like the idea of the door sliding up into the crate, but then I think that a three door crate would be nice too!!!  I could get a bigger three door crate and put a divider in it and keep two puppies in it seperated....

Any suggestions would help!

Both of my crates are 2-door crates, Midwest brand.  Griff's is a 42" crate and it is more than large enough for both dogs, but wouldn't work with the divider in it since only one door would open.  A 3-door crate sounds like a good option!

I have Midwest, 36" and 1-48". 1 is the single door and 2 are the double door.

I like Midwest, but I got the folding two-door travel crate from JJ Dog and I really like it.

I have the folding 2 door crate like Julia has for the car as it fits better with 2 crates in the car.  I have the 36" Midwest 2 door crate at home.

I have 2 midwest, a heavy duty one and a life-stages double door one . And 1 general cage .

I love my midwest even the lighter wire lifestages is holding up and it is almost 4 years old .
The general cage is also a heavy wire but I hate the latches on them . They are the spring ones and I have pinched my hands more times I can count . Both latches also broke within a few years .
