males vs females - squareness
« on: January 23, 2010, 09:37:09 PM »
I had read somewhere and been told that it is accepteble for females to be a bit longer than square .
I am not meaning really long just a bit longer in the loin .
I was told it was so that a bitch could carry a litter .

Has anyone else hear been told this ?

Yes, it is common and said to be acceptable.
A bitch with a short loin can still carry a litter though. :)

I heard the same thing  .   I often wonderd if a shorter loin would result  in smaller litters ?
