Yes, regardless of your views on animal rights, breeding, spay/neuter, etc., the HSUS's financial stats are pretty dismal - less than one-half of one percent to actual hands-on care for animals? 36% on salaries? And 23% on legislation and lobbying - which non-profits are not allowed to do "too much" of. (How much is too much is yet to be seen....)
HSUS, of course, is attacking CCF as a "front group for the restaurant, tobacco, meat, and animal breeding industry", completely ignoring the fact that regardless of who's pointing it out, the damning information is found on their own tax returns, which are a matter of public record.
