Treats for Chubby Dogs...

I know when you are trying to drop some lbs on your dog that you should cut back on treat. But wondering if you just channel the treats to a healthy treat like some dehydrated chix or some apple slices if that would make a HUGE difference rather than a carb loaded treat.
My bosses Boston Terrier needs to shed some and I bought Chix Chips for my treat jar for him. So wondering if that ok?

I try not to give Ariel alot of treats, she gets carrots, animal crackers (per the kidney group) or the prescription treats. Sometimes I will give her PB or one of Zoe's Canidea treats.
Im sure apples and stuff like that would be fine too.

If you have a dog who has trouble maintaining a healthy weight then you should either avoid treats, or substitute kibble if you do feed treats. So if he gets chicken chips, then an equal amount of kibble should be taken out of his next meal.
