Practice at Different Venues with Different dogs
« on: April 22, 2009, 08:34:21 AM »
Thinking this is a good thing?  We have an upcoming match and I have located some practice groups in two different venues on Friday nights.

I am thinking of doing it to just gain the experience of taking Hanny into a place where she has never been, and around dogs she has never met.   Thinking this would be a good way to practice and make her comfortable with new environments.

Anyone else do this when they were new??  Help/Hurt?

Way back when we we showed in obed . I switched off between 2-3 different training centers . And we always went to different parks to practice .
I think it is a great idea to train in different places with different distractions .

The more different places you can take her the better, IMO.

It works for both Handler and Dog (she's not the only one that needs new environments  :P) but yes, very good idea  ;)

Oh yeah me too totally! I am the root of all our issues - I need a body language coach!
