AKC isn't very smart ( personal)
« on: March 23, 2009, 04:39:45 PM »
This is the third time, that the AKC has mis-spelled my name, when it is RIGHT on the papers.....  Every time I send in for papers, they spell my name wrong, and it causes problems..... then I have to wait for new papers to be issued....

I know just how you feel!  I have had Discover for over 30 years...and each time I get a new card my name is spelled wrong...I call and complain and they issue me new ones..and Guess what?  The name is still spelled wrong...I finally just gave up with the last card!

Ugh!  I feel your pain.  Our health insurance company always spells our name wrong.  It's an easy name to spell,  I just don't get it. ::)

OH, that would be awful!!!!  I think next time, I am typing in my info.....  I write neatly, I don't see the problem, but it is a trend...

UGH! That sucks, Kat! That is sucha pet peeve of mine. Ever since I was lil and started getting Boys Life magazine...addressed to Dan Michael ****** (I'm a Dawn Michelle) I have always had a major tick over people getting my name wrong. I am so annoyed when people call me Don. Even if I order a pizza and spell my name for them...they still put, "Don." So I totally feel your pain. And to have it happen not once, not twice...but THREE times....I'd be bangin on someone's door. LOL

Have a little pity on the guy who answers the phone at my house, would you?  He can't spell squat and when he gives me a message he wrote, his note will tell me a 'Don somebody called.  Some girl from your boxer form, I think'.  (he writes phonetically) :smash:  I've learned to decypher his code after 30 some years! ::) :laugh4:  Karens become Karin, Phyllis becomes Filis, etc.

I'll tell him, but don't expect miracles!  ;)  Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I got Grit magazine when I was a kid.  (it was for boys only)  And poor Devin was put on a boys tee-ball team when she was 7 or 8, got a locker in the boys section when she entered jr. hi. and all kinds of Army, Navy, Marines literature when she was about to graduate from h.s..  just to name a few times she was mistaken for a boy.
