Yeh, I wouldn't poke the bear at this point. Why stoop to her level? Just focus on you and your own dogs and make sure you are in compliance and doing everything right and by the book. I wouldn't want to try to "give her a taste of her own medicine" - I'd try to stand up and be the bigger person in this case. Who knows what she'll come up with next.

but if her dogs donnt have their rabies shot and aren't licensed and get out and go to the park...that presents a danger to all those kids.  If they at least have the rabies shot at least the kids won't have to go through that...the dogs are dog and human aggressive and a "pack"...other people have complained about them..no one in the neighborhood cares for them...especially the across the street neighbors.  We didn't have a lawyer at the house closing??

Did you get a package of papers when you closed on your house?  If so look through them and see if you have a title report/survey

Im not 100% sure if its right but i think over here there is a rule where you are responsible for any fencing, hedges or walls that are on the right hand side of you.

I'd be careful with getting 'into it' with this lady. She is obviously irrational and it seems she is willing to go to any length to make you guys miserable. First and foremost, keep the pups safe. If that means just biting the bullet and building your own fence then, so be it.

I would also ask to see if the fence is on the property line if you are responsible for par of the fix-up...

I would NOT however call the ACO on her about her dogs...let HER worry if something happens...this is NOT your responsibility, it is hers.  This woman seems a bit off to call about your dogs etc...I would stay far away from her and her issues!

I'd still want to be sure whose property that the fence is on. Most counties have laws that the fence must be within your property by a certain distance. You will need to know this too to see where you can put your fence up too when the time comes.

Mmhmm.  Thats how it is here.  You have to put your fence 1 foot in from the property line.

I will look into that.  We may have found a free fence...someone is giving away 35-50 sections of privacy fencing..all we have to do is take it down and haul it away...hope they respond (it was a craigslist ad)
