OOoooo. Just a half scoop or less in a meal will mow you over for the first few minutes post meal. Can only imagine a whole scoop. Coarse I married an Italian so I often have the same issue.  :laugh4:

Aaron's not Italian but may as well be with how much he's in love with garlic! Unfortunately I am not.. there are these garlic bagels he LOVES that I can't even be in the same room as.  He jokes that he can buy those now 'cause the garlic smell has already taken over the kitchen every morning.

Claire - Doesn't help much if the dog is ingesting the flea via bunny poo, unless the garlic breath kills them?  ;)

I was just curious.....Does anyone actually give their pups a full capfull? We are still only giving about a 1/4 of a capfull for both dogs in the morning, and even looking at that, it looks like SO much garlic already. I can't imagine giving a full capfull? It seems like garlic overload!

So I came back to this thread to re-read what was actually in this stuff.  I like the fact that it's air-dried versus the process they go through to make garlic powder (which is what I used last year).  So I decided that I want to buy some.

The special is actually still going on, so you can still buy 2 one -pound jars and get 2 free.  What I wonder.....does this stuff have an expiration?  If so, will I be able to use FOUR pounds of this stuff before it expires since it seems that all of you are using less than the recommended amount as it is?

B..... I just got some and was thinking the same thing. The exp. date on mine is Jan. 2011. So there is hope. I too think that their recommended dosage seams excessive. My guys probably get 2/3 of a scoop per day roughly.

I had been giving them the full scoop (well 1/2 scoop each w/each meal) and it did seem a little strong/much! But I thought that was just me not liking garlic THAT much.  :laugh4:

So when folks give raw garlic, how much do they give? I'd assume that you'd give a smaller amount w/this stuff 'cause it doesn't have the moisture content.

So basically a little over a year and a half.  I guess $21 for enough stuff to last 2 dogs for 2 summers is still pretty cheap even if you do have to throw some of it away.

I am on the tab and it calls for 4 tabs daily.  I give the 4 - 2 in the am, 2 in the pm.   Sometimes we foget the am ones esp if the dogs are going back to bed with Jared - nothing like garlic breath!

My thoughts exactly. I figure I will have a good idea how long it will last soon enough and then I can decide if I need to share with others.

Jury is out on the garlic. Our Shelly seams to be tick free for the most part but Beans is always picking them up. Nothing like some after dinner doggie dragon breath.

We found 2 on Dash when we were still building up their dosage, but nothing since we started regularly giving full-strength.  :fingerscrossed: our results continue!

Although I might add that most are not deeply attached. Most only barely and many just crawling. I hate them ticks.

We've been on full strength for a lil while and so far - no ticks or fleas (knock wood). But the skeeters and the gnats are tearing up my pups. Skeeters are just super attracted to Rubi for some reason. She's always got a nasty bite on her leg. And gnats just won't leave poor Grady alone. But thankfully, no fleas or ticks. I hate em ALL!
