making progress in the cold
« on: January 15, 2009, 09:44:08 AM »
Ella has been going potty outside nicely for the last couple of days.  It has gotten super cold here though.  She alternates feet to stand on.  I found the perfect sweatshirt on sale at Petco yesterday.  It says Puppy's 1st Christmas on it, has a hood, and was 75% off.  It makes her look like a real boxing champ.  :beam:

I'll try and post some pictures of her in the show off area later.  I seem to have lost all my computer time lately though.  I wonder why?   ???  ;)

We're potty training in the cold too... I put an old piece of carpet in the preferred "pee spot" outside so her feet don't get cold any faster than they have to. Bentley christened it immediately - such a helper.

Thanks for the carpet tip.  I put some out there.  So far she'll stand on it awhile then move off it THEN pee on the cold pavement.  I'm sure tonight it will be more appreciated.

Ahhh... poor baby. I should have mentioned to use a scrap that you don't have more of installed in the house - wouldn't want her to transfer that bit of information and start peeing on the installed carpet inside.  ;)

Well, the bit of carpet I took was from the back closed in porch that needs the floor ripped out of and redone anyway.  We don't spend much time in there either...no insulation.  If she does get too bad in there then my husband will just have to get to that project that much sooner.
