facing that problem while stud shopping for Z.
Her bite is ok, not great, not bad- but I'd like more width and chin but dogs that have that quality don't have the headpiece overall I'd like to maintain.

I'm willing to sacrifice some with hopes that I could get it back (I feel its pretty strong in her background) but......

If you find the right head piece how about dental work, like the invisible braces j/k

LOL - it's been done, no doubt about it!  (Maybe not in Boxers so much, though.)

I've found that to obtain enough chin (as to be visible on the profile), some breeders have bred dogs that are too undershot (versus adding more and better shape to the chin).

I've found that there are many more rounded bites than I previously thought there were.

I've found that certain types of bites tend toward certain lines and have come to expect good bites from some lines and not so good bites from other lines.

I've found that you really do need to look in a dog's mouth to check bites, as some dogs with (for example) narrow bites are well padded which hides a narrow bite.
