I can't think of anyone offhand, but former member Renee lives there and should have some names. (she didn't "leave" but I'm pretty sure she doesn't visit anymore)

I'll PM you her email address.

Finding A Breeder / Breeder near Illinois
« Last post by Randi on December 02, 2014, 06:17:40 PM »
While I am not yet ready to have another dog, I would like to begin research on breeders for when we are ready. Does anyone know of a breeder in Illinois, or the surrounding area that they would suggest? My dear Tanky was a puppy mill pup (from petland), and I would like to find a reputiable breeder this time around. For those that don't know Tank's story, I did not buy him from petland, I got him when he was 6 months old and had been in 2 previous homes already that wouldn't keep him because he was "too hyper". Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've started looking at some of the links to breeder websites on here and it seems that most in Illinois and surrounding states no longer are breeding.

My Rubi's nose is much longer than the standard, but seems like every part of the standard is just extreme with her anyway. She was from a BYB, both parents on site and looked to be very poorly bred boxers. She is a boxer, but there's a possibility that there's another dog in her lines somewhere. Your girl does look to be a mix, but looks about as sweet as they can come. Very cute!

No too late to change, though they might not cooperate as well.  A lot depends on ear leather. I taped Delta on and off until 2 years old, but her lines have ears that really want to stand. They don't lay nicely, but I did avoid the ugly flying-nun backwards crease.
