Title: PetSmart pulling Smokehouse treats, and AVMA alert
Post by: PoseidonsMom on September 17, 2007, 05:19:09 PM
I didn't post this over the weekend when I heard it because I hadn't heard anything about it at work. They had been pulled by the time I got there this morning though. I just tossed my bag of chicken tenders.

This is getting ridiculous.  I'm getting scared to feed Precious anything.

I can't believe I have some of this product  I thought this was healthier for my babies. I think I'll try to get my money back though - I'm going to need it to buy a new dehydrater.

My opinion is importing from China needs to be stopped for a while, until someone gets a handle on what is in all the product they produce. For years we've know there is lead in the crayons ect.. my husband wouldn't let my kids use lip gloss (from McDonalds toy) because it was made in China. Now with all the toy  and such. When are the trade companies, or whoever makes the decisions, going to say enough is enough.

I know! I didn't work Saturday, and hadn't noticed that they'd been pulled on Sunday. I got the email sometime on Saturday I believe. On Friday I'd convinced a guy to buy some of this product rather than the nasty science diet "jerky" he was going to get!

 I haven't gotten any of those recently, but I always thought it was a good treat.

The vendor I buy some raw from actually made it a point to stop carrying ANYTHING imported during the first recall.  I think more places need to make that bold of a statement.
