Title: Fall harvest Candy Apple (for dogs)
Post by: ibox on July 06, 2007, 06:20:30 PM
I was reading my book entitled, "The Home Spa Book for Dogs" and this sounds like something my dogs would love!!  How fun with this be to make for a dog party?!?!

Fall Harvest Candy Apple
Core fresh, hard apples removing the poisonous seeds.
Melt carob chips over low heat in a double boiler
Dip the apples to coat all or part of the outer surface
You can use a spoon to drizzle the carob over the apple in a decorative pattern
Sprinkle the cooling surface with dry oats
Fill the empty core with low-sugar, organic peanut butter or some other goody
Wrap in cellophane with a ribbon
Keep refrigerated so they will stay fresh
