Lexi is so good at catching stuff when you throw it up. But samson could never get it, it would just hit him in the face lol. Today at agility when we were waiting for our turn, we were working a little focus, and I threw a piece of cheese up, and he caught it!
he caught a bunch of them. He is so smart
so proud of my little guy.

Great job Samson , and you too.
Edy is really good at catching food . Charlotte never even tried to catch anything - she would let it hit her in the head then pick it up off the floor . Maybe she knew it was easier to pick it up off the floor .

Yay, Samson.
I've found Boxers in general to not be the greatest catchers, figured it had to do with their flatter faces. I've been working a lot with Koda and he can catch about one out of 10 tennis balls thrown very gently right to him now.
He's so happy and proud of himself when he does and gets lots of praise though.
Zaynah was never much better despite lots of practice. I think part of it is also that Artax is so good at it, can catch everything thrown to him plus stuff thrown to other dogs, that long nose of his being great at snatching stuff out of the air, so he dominates catch practice sessions unless I manage to do it when he's distracted outside or something. Fetch too, can't say "go get it!" without Artax bolting out of wherever he is looking for what I want retrieved.

haha, Felix never really learned to catch treats in his mouth either. he'll do it once in awhile, but a lot of the time it will just hit him in the face like, what was that?!

Yay Samson
!
Jack is awesome at catching food. He can snatch it out of the air from across a room. Freya...well, she's lucky if she can find it even after it hits her on the head
.
I torment Jack with it though. I make pizza every Friday and he sits at my feet hoping for food to drop. He doesn't like olives but he thinks he has to catch anything I throw at him so he'll catch olive after olive with a disgusted look on his face every time.
