According to the website I linked to - the Animal Control site from Gaston Co - he's set up for "release" tomorrow. He's been there since 1/28 - so not sure what the difference is in the two sites and why petfinder says that.
I will say that if you search for puppies under the "other" category on the AC site (you get two choices to search, either "other" or "adoptable") and there are a TON of pups set for "release" today and are no long adoptable. This shelter is notorius as a kill shelter in the area. They usually give them 5 days and that's it - so I'm assuming that's what the "other" category is - like a "last chance." Very sad.

This just came across. Not too sure what it means.
Subj: PLEASE READ AND SIGN and Forward to your friends FW: boxer to be euthanized
Stephanie Abraham--just passing this along. Came across my desk this morning. Appears to be a boxer mix that was taken from his family home without a warrant...please read.
FW: boxer to be euthanized
We were asked to send this to any lists we belong to. This is just the sort of thing that goes on and we have no control over.
I do not know anything about the dog and if possible I will try to see it, of course it is all about the pit bull rules in Canada. I have done some rescue and helped this Animal Care and Control location so I might be able to get one of our volunteers to take a picture.
But thought there are maybe people who would be interested in this.
So pass on as you want to as the original note says.

Perhaps you’d want to post this on your dog group. Brampton ACC has taken a dog from a family, without a warrant, and will euthanize on feb.5th because it “looks like a pitbull”. C132 is going to kill this brindle boxer, mix I assume. , and there’s an online petition that will just take them 20 seconds to sign if interested:

This isn't the same pup, right? Looks like a Canada thing?

Yea...BRBR! There seem to be so many dogs coming out of Gaston County these days...I'm sure BRBR has their number on speed dial...
Glad this little one is getting pulled.
