We are now inveterate houseslipper wearers.
We only notice wall boogers when we know company is coming.
Dog farts don't even faze us anymore.
Wrinkles are considered beautiful!
I've met some of the NICEST people in the world!

Anyone want to add to this . . . . .?  Keep it going!

Able to discuss poo just as easy as the daily weather.

know that if you don't wipe that dinner face now you will be cleaning something else later.

I no longer have a daughter...."we have a puppy"
Apparently boxers (especially one named Bella) have their own idea of what parenthood means even for the skin kids ie...
No spankings (The only time I have seen Bella upset and demand that I or Dad quit...or else!)
No need for a towel after a bath...(The total look of complete concern on dogs face while kid is in tub is hysterical)
stuffies are coolest when flung through the air, dissected or chased...doesn't matter who is doing it...dog or child Eek!
"Fly-by" takes on a whole new meaning  Grin
My bed will never be "MY BED" again.
Eyebrows are more expressive than words  yes
And last but not least....Because of my Boxers.....Not a day goes by where I do not get a good laugh!!!

*I spend more time researching a "balanced" diet for them then for me!
*I have taken up singing again (albeit just for them)
*I always look in the pet section of the store for new and fun toys before any other shopping is done!
*I have mismatched gloves or mittens (never can find those elusive missing ones)
*There now is a stuffie hospital in my spare bedroom
*Am not completely dressed unless there are some brown hairs on my new outfit!
*Can not get to sleep unless I have my pups with me.
*Love my mornings waking up to wiggles and a licks.

Great thread Sue!  2thumbsup

* I have learned the meaning of "unconditional love"
* I have dirt, slobber, dog hair and food particles stuck to my clothes every day...and don't care.
* I have had to learn how to sleep in the shape of a pretzel and that sometimes I have to sit on the floor because the couches are taken.  Roll Eyes
* I have met great friends that have helped me get through tough times.
* I have learned that if you look in those big brown boxer eyes they will melt your heart...and let them get away with pretty much anything

I'm sure there is a ton more... laugh4

~I have learned to maneuver around all the bones and toys that are always strewn all over my house without tripping.
~I have loved to look foward to walks around my block no matter how cold out it might be.
~I have learned what unconditional love is
~I have made incredible friends.
~I have found that no matter how bad my day might have been, I will always smile when I pull up to my house and see two sweet faces looking out the window, waiting for me.

* they provide countless hours of entertainment (cough, cough...Powie)
* they chase away unwanted guests
* they are the first to greet me when I come home
* my 3 have taught my skin kids responsibility and compassion
* whenever I am down 3 know and are right there. They are great listeners (except Powie- she tries to lick my tears away)  laugh4
* they love me UNCONDITIONALLY

There are not enough words to describe why I love my babies. They mean the world to me, they are my children, they love me unconditionally, I love them the same way. They know when you are sad and when you are happy. When my day is stressful which are most days, just spending time with them takes it all away for at least a while! They have trained me so well  thumbsup

~I have learned what it means to truly "take care" of an animal (actually started with Zeus).
~I have had an easier time letting my kids grow up because I realize that the older they get the less they will need me and the older my dogs get the MORE they will need me.  Makes my heart feel just a bit better.
~I have made some amazing friends that I would not have met otherwise.
~I have learned patience and how to slow down and pay attention
~I have learned not to think obsess about how much dog hair I actually ingest a day
~I have greatly improved the morale in my workplace.  Just them being here with me puts a smile on everyone's face.

 I know:
- how to give and receive unconditional love
- that it takes more than just to "want" a pet, to "have (aka, be owned by) a pet"
- that it's okay to cry in front of other people sometimes
- that a little fur never hurt anyone!
- that time spent with loved ones is precious, and time well-spent
- that a dog is not "just a dog" (well, I already knew that, but Bear confirmed it for me)
- that I have met (virtually) some of the dearest and most loving (and knowlegeable) people this side of Heaven  smitten

I have developed compassion for mockingbirds...especially the dead ones on my floor.

I have grown to not feel comfortable riding in a car with no nose prints on the windows.

I have learned privacy in the bathroom is simply not necessary

I have become completely into Boxer rescue and have found such a sense of fulfillment in helping.

I now know that bubbles don't always come from a bottle.
I now know that crabs aren't the only creatures that walk sideways.
I now understand why my friends sleep in the guest room from time to time due too snoring husbands/BFs.
I now understand that my dogs aren't ra'tards, it's just a boxer burn.
